Frequently Asked Questions

We are always available to answer your questions. Here is a list of the most popular questions that we get asked.

How does laser hair removal work?

During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.

What machine do we use?

We use the Candela GentleMax Pro, a state-of-the-art technology to ensure your skin receives the most efficient and quality laser treatment.

How often should I space out my laser treatments?

We recommend coming in every 4-6 weeks. Your laser technician will always advise you throughout the course of your treatments.

Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?

Laser technology targets pigment in the hair, therefore it can’t detect blonde, white, gray or red hair. If you’re unsure if whether you’re a candidate or not, we’d be more than happy to schedule a free consultation where your laser technician will assess your hair and answer any questions you might have.

How long does each session take?

Each body part has a different duration. Small areas such as upper lip or chin could take under 10 minutes while full legs can take 25-40 minutes.

Is there anything I should do to prepare for my laser appointment?

Yes! Please make sure there’s no product, lotion, makeup, or ointments on the skin. You must shave 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. No sun exposure 2 weeks before and after receiving laser hair removal. A complete list of pre and post care instructions will be sent to your email upon booking ♡

Is there any downtime?

No. You can stop by our office and get back to yours in no time! Some clients experience redness which normally subsides quickly.
